Cup Glory for Blueclaw Sponsored Wheelwright
A couple of weeks ago we reported how Wheelwright FC, the local football team sponsored by Blueclaw, had won promotion in the Yorkshire Amateur League. Well we are proud to say they followed that up this weekend by triumphing in the YAML Supplementary cup final with a thumping four nil victory over North Leeds.
Goals came from Jimmy Waite, Matthew Robinson and Man of the Match Chris Kemp. Full match report can be read over at the Wheelwright website but we have included some of the photographic highlights below.
The win capped off a great season for the club and they celebrated in style with Pie & Peas, Aldi Champagne and lukewarm cans of Carling, we suspect it was much the same for the Wigan squad at Wembley.
