Blueclaw Staff Day Out
On Wednesday 4th September, the Blueclaw troops gathered outside The Calls in Leeds to take a coach up to Harrogate paint balling. Everyone was looking forward to it and had individually targeted at least one person who was likely to be in their line of fire that morning (a great way to resolve work differences I’m sure you would agree!)
When we arrived we were split into two teams and the rivalry began. Dressed in the most flattering camouflage overalls and with somewhat suffocating goggles in place, we descended into the woods.
“Group team building activities are a great way to really understand how your team work together and what we can do to build stronger teams for client campaigns” - Martin Woods SEO Manager
After 5 intense matches (including a finale of everyone vs management), we all left the battle grounds covered in paint and exhausted with a victory of 3-2 going to the red team!
Tired and thirsty we headed to Harrogate Cricket Club for a well needed buffet and a pint (or two!). When we were fully revitalised and full of energy again we proceeded to have a fun filled afternoon with a company talk from agency directors Fergus, James and Jenny and presentations from the Heads of Departments.
“I’ve never been paint balling before so it was great to get out of the office and do something active with the whole team. By lunch time I was exhausted though so it was nice to sit down and bond with some of the other departments over some food and drink” - Dave Hellowell
We ended with a staff training and creative brainstorming session where we spent some time working with members of other departments in the company to show just how many good ideas we all had for a range of niches - ready to bring back to work the next day.
A great day was had by all and there are only a few bruises in the office this morning, everyone is refreshed and ready to go with new ideas and team spirit!
“The company staff training day was an insightful and enjoyable day, allowing the team to come together, share ideas and further expand the knowledge within the company” - Chris Taylor
