Social Pundit wins at the Football Business Awards
Blueclaw’s social media monitoring dashboard, Social Pundit, won the Most Innovative use of Technology in Football category at last night’s Football Business Awards.
The awards took place at Chelsea FC, where Blueclaw was joined by the cream of Britain’s football industry.
Designed for sports teams, Social Pundit is currently used by a number of clubs, including Birmingham City and QPR. It primarily allows clubs to monitor players’ tweets 24/7, sending email alerts to club officials when a player tweets something they shouldn’t, assessed against a database of over 3,000 trigger words – ranging from minor swear words to racist terms.
Judges said that Social Pundit is “A neat and effective solution to a genuine problem. It brings together multiple dynamics and ensures an output that anyone in the business can utilise. Extremely user friendly and simple. Great stuff.”
The Football Business Awards are now in their second year, and Blueclaw was joined as a finalist by a host of Premier League clubs, as well as international brands including Budweiser, EA Sports and Opta. And Social Pundit user QPR also topped the Most Innovative use of Technology by Football Clubs category at the awards.
